I've never seen myself as just a personal trainer. My vision for people's health transcended just the gym environment. People's health is a serious matter for me, and as a trainer with an academic background in the physiological sciences, I have the opportunity to stand in a unique position to help address a wide variety of health and wellness related issues.
While I've been known to be 'down to earth' my background is anything but. I never have seen healthcare as a linear process that a few college courses could easily prepare you for. There was always a thirst for knowledge that seemed to not be quenched by the typical classroom experience. From my perspective, understanding healthcare meant I needed to be as multifaceted as the bodies I studied; incorporating biology, psychology, and sociology through real experiences.
As a science-based personal trainer, I pride myself on staying on the cutting edge of fitness and health research to help empower clients to start living in a way congruent to them. I'm looking to develop lifelong exercisers excited to achieve their own unique goals.
Personally, I have over 10 years of personal training and fitness coaching experience, with over 4000 sessions taught. I am a multiple entrepreneur who has consulted with tech start-ups, I own my own real estate investments, and am also a guest lecturer at CSUMB on Pain and Injury Management. On average, my clients choose to stay with me 12 times longer than the average trainer. I work hard to help my clients succeed inside and outside of the gym.
